Be the first to hear about upcoming sauna events!
My friend, you're in for a treat! Mobile saunas usually have everything that comes to mind when you picture a sauna: a cedar paneled room with benches that surround a (usually) woodfired stove topped with rocks that create heavenly amounts of steam / löyly when you throw a dipper of water on them. But instead of being built on a foundation, it's on a trailer and can be towed to a spot of your choosing! Here are examples of gorgeous mobile saunas from all over the country.
Your favorite swim suit, athletic wear, muumuu -- anything that keeps you comfy while you sweat!
Pro tip: wear your sauna gear under your clothes so you can just hop in the sauna when you arrive!
LOTS of water!
Two towels: one to sit on in the sauna and one to dry off with at the end of the session (our friends at Jubilee in Decorah have the CUTEST towels!)
Optional but encouraged: A robe and sandals for booping around between sauna sessions, snacks, electrolytes, fun bevies
We are currently soft launching by hosting private parties and community sauna sessions. Sign up for our newsletter and you'll be the first to know about all of our upcoming offerings! 😉
Here's the thing. The "correct" way to pronounce sauna, a delightful Finnish word, is to say sow-nuh. If you want to be respectful of the Finnish language and culture that gave us this incredible concept AND sound In The Know in certain circles, that's how to say it. However, I think we can all acknowledge that words change as they travel, so whether you say "sah-na" or "sow-nuh," all pronunciations are welcome here!
